Grassland FCE Club Presents “2 Steps to Stayin’ Alive”

In honor of February being American Heart Month, the Grassland Family and Community Education (fce) Club will be presenting a program entitled “2 steps to Stayin’ Alive” by Patsy Watkins, MPH, FCS, UT Extension Agent. The technique is simple — calling 911 and giving hands-only CPR.

Most people who experience cardiac arrest at home, work, or in a public location die because they don’t receive immediate CPR from someone on the scene. Don’t be an uninformed bystander. Your knowledge and appropriate action can only help. The public is welcome; so come, bring a friend, and learn the procedure and practice on mannequins.

The Grassland Family and Community Education (fce) Club will be meeting on Monday, February 12 at 10 a.m. at the Bethlehem United Methodist Church, room 201. The fce club will be meeting on a new date, the second Monday of each month in 2018. Family and Community Education is open to all; this club is specifically for Brentwood and Grassland residents, You are encouraged to wear red for Valentine’s Day and for Women’s Heart Health!

Bethlehem United Methodist Church is located at 2419 Bethlehem Loop Road, Franklin (Follow signs to church office which is at the side entrance along the tree line).

Family and Community Education (fce) is an organization of volunteers who work together to build strong families and communities.
