hosted by: Bethlehem UMC
to benefit: The Center for Living and Learning
November 15, 2014, 7:30 am at Grassland Middle School

The Grassland Gallop is a wonderful community event that is fun for everyone hosted by Bethlehem UMC. The Gallop consists of a 6K run, a 2K walk , and a 1K Kids Fun Run. Participants and spectators can listen to the knee-slapping sounds of the Bethlehem Bluegrass Band, while enjoying coffee, hot chocolate and pastries.

The 6K will be run through the scenic Grassland back roads, so tighten up your laces and get ready for a few hills. The Grassland Gallop is a bit unique in that it’s a 6k. Running calculators don’t have 6k as a choice, but you can check out your 5k time and your 5 miles time and pick a time in between. The 2K walk and 1K Kids Fun Run will take place on the nature trail behind the Grassland Schools.

Have you heard of The Center for Living and Learning in Franklin? The Center for Living and Learning is a supportive living facility for housing adults who have experienced severe and persistent mental illnesses. Its purpose is to create a restorative environment for these individuals in a community setting by responding to the total range of their needs. What a great reason to run The Grassland Gallop. Proceeds go to support The Center for Living and Learning.
