Saddle Up! Homecoming Celebration – October 15th

The Saddle Up 25th anniversary home coming will take place October 15th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1549 Old Hillsboro Road. The event is free and open to the public. Saddle Up will host a variety of activities that promise fun and excitement for the entire family. Children can enjoy games and other activities at the “Kids Corral,” and guests can pose for photos with miniature horses, Sherman and Webster.

Visitors can also take a delightful hayride and browse the many items at the yard sale. Hershey, the subject of the book, “Hershey Here! At Saddle Up!,” will be present to autograph the book as will author and Saddle Up! volunteer, Crys Zinkiewicz. Self-guided tours of the facility include the farm and Dugas Family Foundation Therapy Room.

Many of the activities will correlate to the history of Saddle Up. A ceremony celebrating its history will take place at noon. National high point dressage winner and former Saddle Up! rider ,Grace Gregory, will demonstrate musical freestyle dressage riding.

Saddle Up’s! mission is to offer children with disabilities therapeutic, educational and recreational activities with horses. The organization has served more than 1,300 children with disabilities and provided more than 50,000 hours of service. Saddle up! also sponsors a school-based equine assisted learning program, the Saddle Up! Equestrian Club, and workshops/seminars.
