From Grassland to Italy and Greece for 10 Days

Tommy Koehler has been teaching Ancient History at Grassland Middle School for 27 years. Since 2004, he has led students and their parents on an annual 10-day summer tour of Italy and Greece. This tour includes visits to many of the classical sites learned by his students in class and allows all participants to experience the beauty and history of these two amazing countries.

Italy and Greece - 2013

Mr. Koehler just returned from his trip on June 25. He and his group of 36 Grassland community students and parents visited sites in Rome, Pompeii, the Isle of Capri, Sorrento, Delphi, and Athens. They also participated on a 3-day cruise to the Greek islands of Mykonos, Patmos, Crete, and Santorini.  It was an amazing tour for everyone in the group, creating memories for a lifetime!

Below are a few photos from their adventure. Over 350 people from the Grassland area have participated on Mr. Koehler’s tours in the past. You may even know some neighbors of yours who have participated. In June of 2014, the tour will visit famous sites in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. Is there a chance you and your family could be next?
